Rea Lois Brooks was born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee. He moved his family to Farmers Branch, TX in 1955 to work for Braniff Airways where he completed 28 years as an A&P mechanic. He was a person wanting to be busy always and will be remembered as always offering help to family and friends with "If I can help, let me know."

Rea and Edith married May 18, 1946, after his return from 4 years of service in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He was proud to have served his country maintaining and flying B-24's and B-29's.

He continued to show his love for his country by flying the American flag on all occasions. He loved to travel with his family and would spend much time planning all the fun things to see and do. He loved hunting and fishing with his sons.

He also dedicated his time coaching Little League Baseball and working in Boy Scouts. He always loved to tell stories about his grandchildren and great granddaughter. Rea and Edith were avid square dancers with the Swingin' Saints Square Dance Club of Dallas, Texas.


Rea and Edith were good friends and we enjoyed many a square dance together. Harold Havard
