WILLIAM A GOLDSWORTH
WILLIAM ARTHUR (BILL) GOLDSWORTH William Goldsworth passed on at home Dec. 9, 2006 at the age of 53 in Battle Ground, WA. He was born Nov. 20, 1953 in Cleveland, OH to Robert A. Sr. and Dorothy J. Goldsworth. In 1956 his family relocated to Sacramento, CA. Bill graduated from Rancho Cordova High in 1974 and then he attended Columbia School of Broadcasting. He was a disc jockey at KCNO in Alturas, CA, KGNT in Jackson, CA then KENE in Toppenish, WA. In 1979 he found his true calling as a carpenter. He joined Columbia River Valley Council of Carpenters local union 771 out of Yakima, WA. In the early 80's he also realized his appreciation for antiques, opening an antique shop in Yakima. In 1985 he moved to Fredericksburg, VA where he worked as a supervisor for the Artery Organization. In 1990 he moved to Battle Ground, WA He started his own company, Colonial Northwest Inc. which he ran as a general contractor for 14 years in WA and OR. He is survived by his wife, Shaun; children, Michael (Della) of Pullman, WA, Stephen (Linda) of Sacramento, CA, Ariel of Battle Ground; father, Robert A. Goldsworth Sr., Vancouver, WA; brother, Robert Goldsworth Jr. of Vancouver; sister, Dorothy Waddington of Willoughby, OH; four grandchildren and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mom, Dorothy Jean Goldsworth in 2001. Bill loved fishing, camping, music (played guitar, piano), baseball (Mariners and Mets fan), antiques, estate and garage sales, NASCAR, Reno and Ebay. Above all he loved his family. A celebration of life will be held at 1:30p.m. on Sat., Dec. 16, at Fellowship Bible Church, 21810 NE 37 Ave, Ridgefield, WA. Memorial contributions maybe made to Cancer Society or Battle Ground Fire Dept.
