Mrs. Emily Ruth Carter Carroll, age 70, of Rome passed away Friday Sept. 7th in a Rome Medical Center.
Mrs. Carroll was born January 1, 1942 in Fulton County, a daughter of the late Judson Carter, and Ida Worthington. She was a member of Dykes Creek Baptist Church, and a homemaker. Mrs. Carroll was preceded in death by a sister Evelyn McPherson, and a brother, Troy Carter.
Survivors include her husband Ralph Carroll, children, Susan (Wayne) Ellis, Wanda (Mike) Garrett, Ken (Melanie) Carroll, Sandra (John) Taylor, April (Scott) Wilson, sisters, Carolyn Severance, Kathleen Willingham, Dot Reynolds, brothers, Roy Carter, Rev. Harry Carter, Bill Carter, 17 Grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday September 10, 2012 at Dykes Creek Baptist Church, with Rev. Tommy Willingham, Rev. Harry Carter, and Rev. Mikel Garrett, officiating. Interment will follow in Mizpah United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Sunday at Dykes Creek Baptist Church, 46 Dykes Creek Church Road, Rome, Ga. 30161.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
