Treva Bertina Bridwell, 77, of Houston, Texas, left this earth to be with the Lord on December 17, 2012. Her hard fought struggle with many illnesses is now over as she rests peacefully for eternity.

Treva was born in Kilgore, Texas on May 21, 1935, the second oldest of six siblings, and the daughter of Emmett and Veniece Ellis.

She was raised in Texas, Mississippi and Louisiana and in 1954 married Jimmie Bridwell of Homer, Louisiana. On December 29, of the following year, Treva began her life as a beloved mother with the birth of the first of two daughters and two sons. She would later be fortunate enough to witness the birth of eight grandchildren and several great grandchildren. In 2005 she lost the love of her life as her husband passed away, shortly after their 50th wedding anniversary, leaving a hole in her heart that never quite healed. She loved spending time with family and yearly reunions in Oklahoma where she would have the opportunity to be surrounded by all those she adored.

She is survived by her daughter Beverly Call and husband Mickey Call of Sherman, Tx, daughter Renee Wilson of Houston, son Ralph Bridwell and wife Dana of Dripping Springs, Son J.J. Bridwell and wife Andrea of Katy, brother Elmer Ellis and wife Peggy of Oklahoma City, brother Edward Ellis and Wife Mary of Pauls Valley, OK, brother Guy Ellis and wife Karen of Cleveland, TN, sister Merlene McCurley of Yukon, OK, grandchildren Mickey Call II, Desiree Call, Chad Bridwell, Jeffrey Wilson, Shelby Wilson, Skyler Bridwell, Mia Bridwell and Austin Bridwell, along with several great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her father, Emmett Ellis, husband, Jimmie Bridwell, mother, Verniece Ellis, sister, Geraldine Ellis, son-in-law Jeff Wilson and other dearly loved extended family members, all of which have greeted her with open arms in the Heaven.
