Thomas B. Fernandez, 75, passed away on Sunday, April 30, 2006 in Yuma. He was born on April 3, 1931 in Yuma and retired from Tanner Company as a truck driver after 20 years of service.

Thomas is survived by his wife, Mary Lou Fernandez; daughter, Rose (Juan) Fernandez; sons, Louis (Teresa) Fernandez, Sergio (Marisol) Fernandez, and Billy Fernandez; granddaughter, Christie Fernandez; daughters, Christina Hernandez, Gloria Cisneros, and Evelyn Paguia; sons, Tommy Merchant and Bennie A. Fernandez; sisters, Rita Valenzuela, Berlinda Valdez, Cathy Covarrubias, Frances Call, Debbie Garcia, and Sylvia Queseda; brothers, Jack Gill, Frank Gill, and Freddie Covarrubias; twenty-two grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be held at Kammann Mortuary on Wednesday, May 3, 2006 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with rosary at 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held at St. Frances Church on Thursday, May 4, 2006 at 1 p.m.

Pallbearers will be John Meacham, Chris Valenzuela, Juan Perez, Joseph Leroy, Ricky Valenzuela, Mikey Covarrubias, Andy Fernandez, and Michael Fernandez.
