Burial followed in Bethlehem Cemetery in Pickens County, Ala. Mr. Clemmons was a native of Pickens County and the son of the late Andrew Lee Clemmons and Frances Elizabeth Logan.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and retired from Southern Natural Gas in 1980. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, William Clyde Clemmons; sisters, Vernie Lee Coleman, Willie Mae Holley and Laura Lou Clemmons; and three grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Bresnaham Clemmons of Millport, AL; daughters, Nell Clemmons of Tuscaloosa, AL; and Kay Clemmons of Meridian; son, Freddie Clemmons of Ethelsville, AL; and one grandchild. Pallbearers were Michael Coleman, Billy Clemmons, Terry Fields, Bill Davis, Mike Davis, Earnest Whitten, Larry Robertson and Charles Patrick.
