"Joseph V. Camasso, Sr., 87, of Ambler, died Sept. 22, 2007 at Chestnut Hill Hospital. He was the husband of the late Anna M. (DiLullo) Camasso. He was born Feb. 23, 1920 in Ambler, to the late Thomas and Antoinette (Chicamaso) Camasso. He attended the former Ambler High School and was a veteran of World War II, serving with the U.S. Army with the rank of Tech 4. He served with Company B, 2833rd Engineer Battalion in Normandy, Northern France, Rhineland, and Ardennes. oseph was employed as a plant manager for Crescent Lighting in New Jersey for 15 years. He also worked for Keasby and Mattison Co. of Ambler. He was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Church, Ambler, and a former member of the Sons of Italy LRB Lodge No 543, Ambler. He was devoted to his family and enjoyed carpentry. He is survived by his son Joseph V. Camasso, Jr. and his wife, Diana, of Harleysville; four grandchildren, Lawrence, Lori Pijanowski, Courtney, and Joseph James Camasso; three great-grandchildren, Taylor, Daron and Bryan Pijanowski; and two brothers and two sisters, Angela Chiriano of Ambler, Mary Grasso of Lansdale, James Camasso of Ambler, and Ralph Camasso of Conshohocken. He was pre-deceased by a daughter, Antoinette Camasso; and a brother, Leonard Camasso. Relatives and friends are invited to his Funeral Mass Thursday, September 27, at 10 AM at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 259 Forest Ave., Ambler, PA 19002. Viewing will be from 9 to 10 AM at the church. Interment will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Cheltenham . In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name to St. Anthony of Padua Church at the above address, would be appreciated. Arrangements are by Emil J. Ciavarelli Family Funeral Homes, Ambler."
