Michael Amos of Holland, Ohio died at home on December 31, 2012, of natural causes. He was born in Port Clinton, Ohio on April 4, 1950, to Norman and Sarah Adelaide Amos and grew up in Freemont, Ohio. He attended Ohio Northern University in engineering and later went to work for Siemens Medical installing and servicing Cat Scan and MRI machines for 16 years. Later he worked for two other IT companies on the east coast before retiring 6 years ago. He was preceded in death by both of his parents and former wife, Margaret Augustine Amos. He is survived by his sister, Sue Ann Amos of Shelton Washington, and numerous longtime friends. As a long time avid boater he was past member of the Coast Guard Auxiliary and Flotilla 10-4 which was the predecessor to the current Point Place Boat Club in Point Place Ohio. Per Michael's request, he was cremated and there will be no visitation. He has requested that his ashes be spread on Lake Eire with a remembrance party afterwards.
