He was born May 21, 1923 in Calhoun County, Arkansas. He was a retired forester and an entrepreneur. He was also a Navy World War II veteran and a member of the First Family Church of the Living God.
Woody was preceded in death by his parents, James Arthur Nutt and Ada Bowen Nutt; and his wife, Margie LaJoyce Hornaday Nutt.
He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Keith and Sharon Nutt of Hampton, and Wade and Rexanne Nutt of Hampton; one daughter and son-in-law, LaQuetta and Steve Daniell of Hampton; one brother, Vernon Nutt of Hampton; one sister, Georgia Shumake of Mena; nine grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
