Johnnie Crain

ALMA - Johnnie E. Crain, 75, of Alma died March 21, 2010 in Mt. Vernon.
He was born Oct. 30, 1934, in Salem, son of William T. and Martha E. Crain, and they preceded him in death. He was married to Shirley Ann Rogers on July 1, 1955, in Sherman, Texas, and they later divorced.
Mr. Crain is survived by a special friend of 19 years, Dee Harrington of Alma; two sons, Terry Crain and wife Laura of Salem and Michael Crain and wife Jennifer of Ridgetop, Tenn.; three daughters, Kerrie Wetherall and husband Mark of Plainwell, Mich., Michelle Linder and husband David of Iuka and Crystal Schroeder and husband Damon of West Chicago; a sister, Mary Smith of Salem; 12 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Mr. Crain was a veteran of the Korean War, having served in the U.S. Marines. He was a member of Centralia Veterans of Foreign Wars and Patoka American Legion. He was of Presbyterian faith.
Graveside services will be held at Paradise Cemetery in Salem.
Friends are asked to meet at the cemetery.
