On May 20th 1857, Mary Taylor Fain married Stephen M. Cocke; with whom she had one daughter, Ida Stephen Cocke. [Ida married Dr. Daniel H. Howell of Atlanta - memorial #55354895.] After Stephen Cocke was killed in 1864; Mary & Ida moved to Rock Bridge, Georgia and lived with her brother, William Fain, where they are on the 1880 census, along with William's grandchildren, Mary and George Parrott.

Cocke - The friends and aquaintances of Wm D. Fain, Jno. N. Fain and Geo. W. Parott are requested to attend the funeral of Mrs. Mary T. Cocke, from the Passenger Depot, Atlanta, this morning, June 23, at 3 o'clock.
