Leo Edwards, 84, of Chesapeake, OH., passed away Saturday, January 19, 2013, at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, Huntington, WV.

He was born August 21, 1928, in Proctorville, OH.,, son of the late Forrest and Thelma Villars Edwards.

He retired from Kraft Foods and Ballards Farms. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran serving in the Korean War. Leo was a Minister in the area for many years at several Churches.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by
one brother, Dickie Edwards, two sisters, Virginia Tillis and Irene Rowe.

He is survived by his wife, Alma Huff Edwards, one son, Chuck Edwards of Chesapeake, OH., one daughter and son-in-law, Marilyn and D.L. McWhorter of South Point, OH., two grandsons, Chase McWhorter and Kobe McWhorter, three sisters, Corena Callicoat of Proctorville, OH., Sharon Yoczik of Gallipolis, OH., and Linda Fraley of Proctorville, OH., and several nieces and nephews, sisters-in-law, Jane Deeds of Auburndale, FL., and Mary Huff of Wytheville, VA., his buddy, Daisy, his dog.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, at Hall Funeral Home, Proctorville, OH., by Pastor Jerry Galloway and Pastor Randy Henderson. Burial will follow in Perkins Ridge Cemetery, Willow Wood, OH., with Proctorville V.F.W. Post 6878 conducting military graveside rites.

Visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
