An accident, that caused the death of Hubert Remmerde near Carmel, happened last Wednesday.

While plowing on his farm, he tried to take a cornstake out of the wheel of the gang plow he was riding. His foot got in the wheel and his leg was so seriously injured that it became necessary to amputate it.

That was done last Friday. Later blood poison set in and the result was that Mr. Remmerde died Saturday.

He leaves a wife, and several children. Funeral services were held at Carmel Tuesday afternoon.
