George E. "Ed" Feely, 47, of Titusville, RD3, Cherrytree, died at 1 a.m. Monday in the Oakland Veterans Administration Hospital, Pittsburgh, following and extended illness.
He was born at Cherrytree, Sept. 21, 1923, the son of the late Ernest L. and Josephine Harkless Feely. He was married to the former Betty Vogus at Dempseytown, Feb. 22, 1947.
He was self-employed as a truck driver. He served in the U.S. Army in WW II. He entered the service in 1943 and servec in the European Theater during the war and was discharged in 1945.
He is survived by his wife, three sons, three sisters, Mrs. James (Gladys) Haslett of Corry; Mrs. Vera Rainey of Latrobe and Mrs. Harold (Emily) Kinter of Freedom; several nieces and nephews. A brother, Jack, died in 1970.
Friends may call at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home today for 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and attend the funeral service there Thursday at 2 p.m. with Rev. William Lamey of St. Petersburg, Pa., officiating. Interment will be in the Cherrytree Cemetery.
