Nellie Stob was born in 1903 in Roseland [Township], Kandiyohi County, in the mid southwestern part of Minnesota, daughter of Teunis Willems Stob (1856-1936) and Dora Kuiper (1871-1950), both born in the Netherlands and both died in Grand Rapids, Kent County, Michigan.

In 1910 Nellie Stob (6 y, born in Minnesota), her father Tunner Stob (53, Holland, immigrated in 1880), her mother Dora (38, Holland, immigrated in 1889), her siblings William (23, Illinois), Jantze (20, Illinois), Marten (15, Illinois), Annie (9, Minnesota), Gert (8, Minnesota), John (1, Minnesota) and Henry (0, Minnesota) were living in Roseland [Township], Kandiyohi County, in the mid southwestern part of Minnesota.

In 1920 Nellie Stob (16), her father Tom Stob (63, immigrated in 1879), her mother Dora (48, immigrated in 1889), her siblings Annie (18), Garriet (17), John (11), Henry (9) and Tomey (1, Minnesota) were living at their own home in Holland [Township], Kandiyohi County, Minnesota.

On 27 May 1927 Nellie Stob married at the age of 24 years in Grand Rapids, Kent County, Michigan William E. Parham. On 28 December 1928 they had son Thomas Edward Parham. Her husband William E. Parham died on 4 June 1930 at the age of 22 years in Grand Rapids.

On 22 November 1932 Nellie Stob remarried in Lake County, Indiana the seven years older Max Scheeringa, who had Dutch parents too.
They had the following children Scheeringa:
* Martha Ann, 22 July 1935, Indiana. Married Jack W. Ashford;
* Marvin, 7 October 1938, Hammond, Lake County, Indiana.

Nellie's son Edward Thomas Parham was called since her second marriage Edward Thomas Scheeringa.

In 1942 the were residing at Cline and 45th in Highland, Lake County, Indiana, when her husband, the 46 years aged farmer Martin Max Scheeringa was administrated on a WW II Draft Registration Card.

Her husband Martin M. Scheeringa died in March 1988 at the age of almost 92 years in Highland, Lake County, Indiana. Widow Nellie died in December 1991 at the age of 88 years, very probably in Highland too.
