Mary Jo Elmore Setzer, age 91, of Claremont passed away Saturday, January 19, 2013 at Catawba Regional Hospice in Sherrills Ford. Born May 10, 1921 in Catawba County, she was the daughter of the late Walter Troy Elmore and Myrtle Lanier Elmore. Jo was a life-long member of Shiloh United Methodist Church where she taught Children's Sunday School for many years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Patrick Henry Setzer; four brothers, Willard, Ben, Walter, and David Elmore; two sisters, Lucille Sherrill, Joye Hewitt.
A graveside service will be held on Sunday, January 20, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Shiloh United Methodist Church in Claremont with Rev. Ronald Lytle officiating.
