Born October 25, 1977, in Kane, PA, she was a daughter of Karmon M. and Iona Austin Wood.
Linda was a longtime resident of the area coming from Indiana. She was a graduate of Oswayo Valley High School, Class of 1996, and also of Mansfield University, Mansfield, PA.
She had worked several years for Monroe County, Indiana, as a corrections officer, before moving back to the area.
She had attended the Bells Run Union Church of Eldred while a resident of the area.
She is survived by her beloved companion, Thomas, a son, a daughter, three brothers and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, Nancy Michelson, Roseanne Calhoun, Ella Hobson; and a brother, Richard Wood.
There will be no visitation. Friends are invited to attend a memorial service at 11 a.m. Saturday (Jan. 14, 2012) in Bells Run Union Church, with Rev. Chad Shaffer, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Bells Run Cemetery, Eldred.
The family requested donations be made to the First National Bank of Port Allegany, to benefit her beloved children.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Switzer Funeral Home, Port Allegany.
