Marshall was a graduate of Cranston East High School and Bryant College. He was a member of Greenwood Community Church, Presbyterian, where he served for many years as an Elder, Youth Leader, and Sunday School Teacher. Active for many years in Community Affairs and Democrat political activities, he served as a member of the Board of Public Safety and the Warwick Housing Authority. Marshall taught Dale Carnage Courses, volunteered as a Cub Scout Master and was a tireless member of the Jr. Chamber of Commerce. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War.
Besides his loving wife, he is survived by his sons, Bruce A. Martin (Laura) of New Bedford, MA, Paul D. Martin (Karen) of Fairfield, CT, his grandchildren, Jennifer L. Martin, Eric M. Martin, and his great-grandchildren, Cameron P. Martin and Haiden L. Martin.
His funeral will be held Monday, January 21, 2013 from THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Route 5, Greenwood, Warwick with a servce at 10:00 am in The Greenwood Community Church, Presbyterian, 805 Main Avenue, Warwick. Burial will follow in Brayton Cemetery, Warwick.
