Mrs. Phyllis Wilson Fitzgerald, 83, of 130 Broad St, Danville, VA went to be with Lord at the Danville Regional Medical Center, after a decline in health for several years and being hospitalized for two weeks.

She was the daughter of William Hassell Wilson, II and Lorena Barker Wilson.

She was a retired bookkeeper and was a member of First Baptist Church.

On November 17, 1945, she married James Linwood Fitzgerald, who died on October 17, 2000.

Survivors include a daughter, Rebecca Wilson Fitzgerald, of the residence; two sons, James Linwood Fitzgerald, Jr., of Bhama, NC and Stephen Richard Fitzgerald, of Charlottesville;, VA, one sister Mary Virginia Brown and husband Hay G Brown of Durham, NC, a sister-in-law, Claire B Wilson of Ringgold and six grandchildren.

In addition to her husband she was predeceased by a son David Allen Fitzgerald and two brothers William Hassel Wilson, III and Maynard Barker Wilson.

Wrenn-Yeatts North Main Chapel served athe Fitzgerald familly.
