DRY FORK, Va. - Madeline Williams McCoy, age 70, died Friday, Jan. 2, 2004, at Danville Regional Medical Center.

She was born March 5, 1933, in Winston-Salem, N.C., the daughter of the late Robert Glenn Williams and Edith Handy Williams.

She was the wife of the late Billy Furman McCoy.

Mrs. McCoy is survived by two daughters, Julie M. Oakes and her husband, Darrel of Dry Fork and Sherry M. Kendrick and her husband, Gary of Chatham; one son, Scott McCoy of Blairs and six grandchildren.
She was a member of Cathedral of Praise Assembly of God Church in Danville.

Funeral services will be conducted at Scott Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, Jan. 5, 2004, at 11 a.m. by the Rev. Tedd Manning officiating. Burial will be at Hillcrest Burial Park.

The family will receive friends at Scott Funeral Home on Sunday, Jan. 4, 2004, from 7 to 8 p.m. and at other times will be at the residence of her daughter, Sherry Kendrick, 261 Catawba Drive, Chatham.

Scott Funeral Home, Chatham, is in charge of arrangements.
