WALLACE S. "Jim" WILLIAMS, JR. 67, of Paris, passed away Saturday, January 19, 2013 in Legend Healthcare of Paris.

Funeral services are set for 1:00 PM, Wednesday, January 23, 2013 in the chapel of Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home with his pastor, Rev. Brad Crosswhite officiating.

Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-7:00 PM on Tuesday at the funeral home. Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements.

He was born July 13, 1945 in West Carroll, Louisiana, a son of Wallace Sylvester and Maxine McDaniel Williams.

He was a graduate of Garrison High School in Garrison, Texas. Following graduation, he enjoyed a career in sheet metal fabrication that spanned 35 years until his health brought about his retirement. He was a member of Lamar Point Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his father, Wallace Williams, Sr.; his mother, Maxine Hammond; a very special dad, Gus "Jr." Hammond; a brother, Wesley Williams; as well as a beloved brother-in-law, J.W. Sims.

Jim is survived by his loving wife of 19 years, Rhonda; four children, Angie Bethea of Tom Ball, Becky Drury and husband, Howard of West Jordan, Utah, Carrie Patrick and husband, Scott of Allen, and Cory Lehtinen and wife, Stacy of Princeton; nine grandchildren who affectionately called him "Papa", P.J. and Lacie Bethea, Zac Drury, Malarie, Austin, Zoey, Zach Lehtinen, and Maddison and Knox Patrick; one brother, Ronnie Melton and wife, Regina of Paris; three sisters, JoAnne Sims of Paris, Ginger Wallace of Cooper, and Brenda Hayes and husband, Rick of Spring; and a special sister-in-law, Norma Williams of Paris. Jim also leaves behind countless nieces, nephews, and friends.

Named to serve as pallbearers are Pat Bethea, James Sims, Rick Hayes, James Williams, Paul Sims, Richard Wallace, Jr., Scott Patrick, and Cory Lehtinen.

The family would like to say a special thank you to the staff of Legend Healthcare and Odyssey Hospice for the wonderful care and love they gave to Jim in his final months.
