GEORGE ARCHER WAS LAID TO REST SUNDAY

CHERRYTREE, July 2 - Funeral services over the remains of George Archer of Cherrytree township were held at the family home near Cherrytree Sunday, June 31 1912. Rev. J.M. Chritclow of Titusville preached the funeral sermon, after whch they sang "Rock of Ages."
There was a large gathering of friends and neighbors, showing the esteem he was held by the people among whom he had lived and with whom he associated.
He was never married. They nearest relative is a sister, Miss Nancy Archer of Cherrytree. He was buried in the Cherrytree cemetery. Among the relatives from a distance who attended the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. William Archer of Franklin, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Archer of Oil City, the Misses Archer of Hydetown, Ernest Virtue and mother, the Misses Jessie and Allie Virtue and Mr. and Mrs. Wade, all of Guys Mills.
