Phebe Louisa Fuller, d/o Ezra and Phebe Williams Fuller, was born Jan 1, 1821 in Fabius, Onondaga Co., NY.

She first married David Phelon (c.1820-?) on November 12, 1842 in Medina Co., OH.

This union produced 4 children:
1) David Phelon (1841-1877)
2) George Washington Phelon (1842-1914)
3) Phebe C. Phelan Bruce (1845-1913)
4) Sylvanus Orton Phelon (1848-1921?)

On the 1850 census, we find her living in Ridgeville, Lorain, OH, with her father, Ezra, along with her 4 children and her sister Lucinda. Unknown if her husband, David, had passed away or if they divorced.

Louisa then married James Creighton Carpenter, also his 2nd marriage, on March 29, 1851, in Lorain Co., OH.

This union produced 7 children (along with 5 from James' 1st marriage):

1) Charles Carpenter (1851-1929)
2) Eugenia Carpenter Thompson (1855-1940)
3) John Wallace Carpenter, Sr (1857-1914)
4) Nellie Carpenter Dickson (1859-1916)
