Born Oct. 23, 1923, in Cherryhill Township, she was the daughter of Harry Clair and Gertrude (Brown) Henry.

Mrs. Widdowson lived her entire life in Cherryhill Township.

She was a member of the Penn Run Church of the Brethren where she was very active in all church activities.

Mrs. Widdowson enjoyed attending quartet concerts. She also enjoyed gardening and farming.

Surviving are her husband, Ira Clark Widdowson; three daughters: Phyllis Bestvina and husband Joseph of Clymer, Darlene Fyock and husband Tracy of Clymer, and Karen Widdowson of Penn Run; five grandchildren: Julie Roof and husband Jerry of Brush Valley; Diane Bestvina of Johnstown; Stacey Neal and husband Brian of Homer City; Valerie Fyock of Warrenton, Va.; and Darla Strong and husband, Michael of Warrenton, Va.; and five great-grandchildren: Joshua and Madison Roof, Grace and Quintin Neal and Haley Strong.

Mrs. Widdowson also is surviverd by Ernest Thackor and wife Persis and their children Allison and Jason, all of Woodridge, Ill.; seven brothers and sisters: Avonelle Henry Surovy and husband Stephen of Glendale, Ariz.; Pearl McFarland Fike Mains and husband Bob of Apollo; Harry Henry and wife Ruth of Ripley, N.Y.; Earl Henry and wife Barbara of Conneaut, Ohio; Ella Mae Kuhfeld of Ripley, N.Y.; Claude Henry and wife Jane of North East; and Theo Henry of Ripley, N.Y.: two sisters-in-law, Marilyn Henry of Erie and Georgia Henry of Ripley, N.Y.; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers: Blair and Ronald Henry and her brother-in-law, Leonard Kuhfeld.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Rairigh Funeral Home Ltd., Hillsdale.

Additional visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m., the time of the funeral service on Monday. The Rev. Wilbur Hosler will officiate.

Interment will follow at the Montgomery Cemetery.
