Norman E. King, 81, of Greeneville, passed away peacefully Thursday at Signature HealthCARE of Greeneville with his family by his side.

Norman retired from Greeneville Builders Supply after many years of service.

He was a member of Hill Street Church of God, where he loved to attend as long as his health permitted.

Norman will be greatly missed by all his family and friends, but will always be remembered by his love for his Lord and Savior, his laughter, and his love for traveling and old Western movies.

Survivors include three sisters and four brothers-in-law: Nancy Feezell, Nellie and Charles Swatzell, Betty and Gene Starnes, and Ted Dunn; brother and sisters-in-law: Herbert and Melva King and Lucy King; a special niece: Kathy, whom he loved and helped raise like a daughter, and her husband, Wid Foshie; and several nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.

He was preceded in death by two brothers: Milburn King and infant David King; and a sister: Pansy Dunn.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today at Jeffers Funeral & Cremation Service, downtown.

The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the downtown chapel with interment in Mount Hebron United Methodist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Jerry Feathers and the Rev. Donnie Gaddis will officiate.

Pallbearers will be Todd King, Jason King, Tony King, Mike King, Randy Starnes, Daris Swatzell, Johnny Feezell, Eric Lowery, and Chaz Story.

Honorary pallbearers will be his special friends: Gerald and Nancy Clever, Homer Ball, Mr. and Mrs. Willie Beach, Carroll and Carolyn Babb, Johnny and Louise Wilson, Jack and Hazel Robinson, and the staff and residents of Signature HealthCARE and the Smoky Mountain Hospice staff.
