C.B. "Jim" Jameson

C.B. "Jim" Jameson was born February 20, 1921, and died March 11, 2005, in Gulfport.

Mr. Jameson was a native of Vernon, Texas, and was reared in Sapulpa, OK. He moved to the MS Gulf Coast in 1945 after serving in the U. S. Marine Corps during World War II, where he attained the rank of Tech Sergeant. Mr. Jameson and his brother, Wayne, operated Jameson Glass Company on 25th Avenue in Gulfport, beginning shortly after the war and through most of the 1950s. He then joined Teledyne Irby Steel as Purchasing Manager and retired in 1993.

Mr. Jameson is survived by his wife of 59 years, Marie, of Gulfport; two sons, James W. "Jim" Jameson and his wife, Lynn, of Mobile, AL; and Gary W. Jameson and his wife, Martha, of Gulfport; a daughter, Ruthie Horlock and her husband, Steve, of Gulfport; two sisters, Shirley Russell, of El Paso, TX, and Annette Jameson, of Las Vegas, NV; one brother, Edward Jameson, of Tulsa, OK; eight grandchildren, Clint Jameson, Matthew Jameson, Stacey Seawell, Zachary Jameson, Jessica Jameson, Rachel Jameson, Joshua Jameson, and Adam Horlock; and two great-grandsons.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00p.m. Sunday, March 13, 2005, in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens in Gulfport.
