OBITUARY: YORK Jeane C. (Bailey) Gingerich, 93, died Wednesday, April 11, 2012, at Colonial Manor. She was the wife of the late Nelson H. Gingerich. A Celebration of Life Service will be 11 a.m. Monday, April 16, 2012, at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York, with her pastor, the Rev. Stanley Reep, officiating. Visitations will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday and from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. Born July 19, 1918, in Loganville, she was a daughter of the late Walter E. and Mary E. (Snyder) Bailey. A long time member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in York, she was also a loving homemaker who was extremely devoted to her family. Mrs. Gingerich is survived by two sons, Jackie H. Gingerich of Medina, N.Y., and James E. Gingerich and his wife, Sandra of Spring Grove; six grandchildren, Norreen Furness, Kristin Haight, Jacklyn Gingerich, Jeffrey Gingerich, Timothy Gingerich, and Jessica Heller; four great-grandchildren, Erin and Leslie Furness, Kemper Gingerich, and Mya Heller; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one brother, Glenn Bailey, and one baby sister, Gladys Bailey. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 25 W.
