Mrs. Dorothy Ayers, 53, died Sunday afternoon in Clinton Memorial Hospital, Wilmington, where she had been a patient since Tuesday. Her husband, Robert, preceded her in death.
Mrs. Ayers was born Feb. 9, 1918, the daughter of James and Lily Williams Wilbanks.
Surviving are a son; a daughter; one granddaughter; two brothers Odell Wilbanks of Lynchburg and Philip Wilbanks of Florida; six sisters, Mrs. Mabel Fry of Springfield, Mrs. Susan McConnaughey of Lynchburg, Miss Mildred Wilbanks of Cincinnati, Mrs. Nell Newbrey of Washington C. H., Mrs. Noreen From of Milford, Mrs. Vernice Hankins, of Indianapolis, Ind.
Services were held Wednesday at 2 P.M. at the Davis Funeral Home with the Rev. James W. Thomas in charge. Burial was in the Lynchburg Masonic Cemetery.
