EMILY LORETTA KELLER, 88, of Brunswick, passed away Wednesday, May 26, 2010, at the Kline Hospice House in Mount Airy. She was born Dec. 8, 1921, in Knoxville, and was the daughter of the late Henry Herbert Shaffer and Ida Carey Shaffer.

She was of the Church of God faith. She was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 1136 and she enjoyed playing poker and bingo.

She is survived by two daughters, Julia May Boccabella of Brandenton, Fla., and Brenda Tyler of Charles Town, WV; one son, David Keller Jr, of Thurmont; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, David Robert Keller Sr.; three sisters, Helen Hitt, Elizabeth Smallwood and Gwen Holder; and four brothers, Delbert Shaffer, Charles W. Shaffer, Irwin W. Shaffer and John T. Shaffer.

Services were held at John T. Williams Funeral Home, Brunswick; interment was in Park Heights Cemetery, Brunswick.
