Funeral services for Noble E. Stout, 70, who died April 22 in his home in Lambert, were at 2 p.m. Friday in the United Methodist Church with the Rev. Loyd Daniel and the Rev. Don Bradford officiating.
Burial was in the Cherokee Municipal Cemetery, under the direction of Fisher Funeral Home.
Stout was born southwest of Cherokee May 8, 1916, to Harry and Lydia Elliott Stout. He attended school in Lambert. then Northwestern University in Alva and Central State in Edmond.
He served with the 45th Signal Corps for 4 1/2 years during World War ll, with more than two years spent in the European theater. He farmed for two years in western Kansas after the war.
He and Eva Mae Fox were married June 8, 1947, in Anthony Kansas. They had lived in the Lambert area since that time. He was a member of the Yewed United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife of the home; a son, Howard of Carmen; two grandchildren; a sister, Ina Murphy, Cherokee; four brothers, Willard Stout, Lambert, Loyd Stout, Cherokee, Fay Stout, Drumright, and Jack Elliott of Alta Vista, Kansas.
Memorials may be made to the Heart Association with the funeral home serving as custodian of the fund.
