Kent W. "Bill" Brown 75 of Bassett died Friday May 6, 2011 at his home. Born in Henry Co the son of the late Stafford Brown and the late Florence Tedder Brown. Bill was also preceded in death by a daughter Deborah B. Waller. He was a member of Fort Trial Christian Church and worked at Dupont for 31 years.
Surviving is his wife Dyanne S. Brown of the home, two grandchildren and two step grandchildren and four step great grandchildren. Also surviving two brothers Randolph Brown and Luther Brown of Franklin Co and one sister Lois Purdy of Henry Co and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Monday May 9 from 1-2 p.m. at Fort Trial Christian Church with funeral services to follow at 2 with Minister Wesley McCarter officiating, burial will follow in Roselawn Burial Park. Donations can be made to the SPCA at 132 Joseph Martin Highway Martinsville, Va. 24112-8111 or to Fort Trial Christian Church at 6356 Virginia Ave, Bassett, Va. 24055.
