A longtime member of Holy Rosary Church, Margaret was devoted to her family, enjoyed cooking and family gatherings.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William A. Verdecchia in 1988, a son in law Thomas P. Byrne, III, a brother, Anthony Pepicello and a sister Angelina Pepicello.
She is survived by two daughters, Diane Verdecchia Byrne and Susan Verdecchia Matteson and her husband Jerry, both of Millcreek; one son, Emmett T. Verdecchia and his wife Mary Beth of McKean; six grandchildren, Michael Byrne of Gainesville, FL, Julie Byrne and her husband Ben Miller of Wexford, PA, David Matteson of Pittsburgh, PA, Gina Matteson and her husband Andy Bognanno of Temple TX, Nicole Verdecchia of Columbus, OH and her fiance Josh Zueger, William Verdecchia of McKean, PA; two great grandchildren, Katie and Lexie Miller; two sisters, Mary Wegelin and her husband John and Rosy Pepicello all of Erie. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Brugger Funeral Homes & Crematory, LLP. Pine Avenue Branch, 845 East 38th St., Sunday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and may attend services there on Monday at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at Holy Rosary Church at 10:00 a.m. Burial to follow in Calvary Cemetery.
