July 18, 1930 - Humboldt Republican - Funeral services for Linus Brooks, 89, former Humboldt resident, who died at his home in Aurora, Illinois, Tuesday morning will be held in the Duncan Funeral Home Friday at ten o'clock.
Mr. Brooks with his family, lived on a farm near here about eighteen years ago and will be remembered well by the older residents. Mr. Brooks had been semi-invalid all of his life and the last few fears he had been worse. He was the father of the late Chester Brooks.
He leaves to mourn his death, his wife, who will accompany the body here, and two daughters, Mrs. Cora Hawley of Fort Dodge and Mrs. Minnie Hack of Montana.
