American name: James Dee

Vincenzo Di Dia aka James Dee immigrated to the U.S. with his brother Giacomo Di Dia aka Chris Dee on April 15th 1903 on Vancouver ship. The brothers stayed with their cousin Gaspare Anastasi in Cleveland, Ohio. Some how Vincenzo ended up in Sandusky, Ohio area and Giacomo ended up in Chattanooga, Tennessee area. Vincenzo had a total of 5 children with Anna Rose Corso. Vincenzo was diagnose with tuberculosis from working in the train smoke house and was order by the doctors to return home to Marsala, Sicily cause of the weather climate might help him get better but just a few month after returning to Sicily, he passed away. His wife and children returned to the U.S. on the S.S. Dante Alighieri sailed from Palermo, Sicily October 6th, 1915 and arrived in New York October 18th, 1915.

As of 2014 Vincenzo Di Dia body was removed from the plot and his "body/bones" has been placed in the so called "ossario" (ossuary), and the tombstone have been destroyed. This happened because Vincenzo died 99 years ago, and after 99 years since the death, all bones are placed in the ossuary. Cemetery office kept the profile picture from the marker, and has now been has been given to his grandson James "Jimmy" Dee of Sandusky, Ohio as of Dec 2014.

1914, the 25th of May at the hour of 10 in the town hall before Gavino Campo official of the vital records office of Marsala appeared Gaspare Bonomo, 50, shoemaker of Marsala and Paolo Ancona, 67 shoemaker of Marsala who declare that at the hour of 4 today in the home at Villa Stresatti died Vincenzo Di Dia, 38, farmer, of Marsala, and husband of Lucia Corso. Witnesses are Baldassare Indelicato, 50, bricklayer and Paolo Cascio, 48, carpenter.
