Twyla Rhea Bench, age 73, of Dover, died Thursday, January 17, 2013 at Saint Mary's Regional Medical Center. She was born October 5, 1939, in Dover, Arkansas to Claud and Thelma Talkington Reynolds. Twyla graduated Dover High School in 1957 and then went on to attend ATU, she was a Charter Member of Daughters of the American Revolution, Persis Lovely Chapter, a member of the Pope County Historical Association and a member of Oak Grove Free Will Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Betty Johnston, and Judy Hottinger; and her brother, John Reynolds.
Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Devoy Bench; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Tony and Vickie Bench of Conway, and Clinton Bench of Dallas, Texas; granddaughter, Dani Perez and her husband, Daniel of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; and numerous nephews and nieces.
The funeral service will be at 2 p.m., on Monday, January 21, 2013, at Oak Grove Free Will Baptist Church near Atkins, with the Rev. Mark Simmons, officiating. Burial will be in St. Paul Cemetery by Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 5 p.m., Sunday, at the funeral home.
