Mrs. Henrietta Pickell Barnes, 73, widow of William Macel Barnes, died Sunday [March 27, 1883] at Rikard Nursing Home, Lexington. Born in Greenwood County, she was a daughter of the late William Rufus and Annie Faulkner Pickell. She was a licensed practical nurse and a former employee of Greensboro Memorial Hospital, Greensboro NC. She was a member of Mountain Creek Baptist Church. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. S. Louis (Enid) Benjamin of Greenwood; sisters, Mrs. Floride Bock and Mrs. Miriam Denton of Camden; and brothers, J. Edward and J. Frank Pickell of Greenwood. Burial in Mountain Creek Baptist Church cemetery.
