Lucille was a daughter of Magnus Wingate "Pete" Lassiter and Clara Celestine Bridgers.

She 1st married Albert Hoggard Barnes with whom she had 5 known children: Lila Grey, Albert Wingate, Robert Allen, David Earl & Larry Wilson.

Lucille & 1st husband divorced and she married 2nd Troy Wilson Slade. No children.

MILLENNIUM - Mrs. Annie Lucille Slade, 86, died Monday, April 30, 2007, at her home.

She was the daughter of Magnus Lassiter and Clara Bridgers Lassiter. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Troy W. Slade; and a daughter, Lila Grey Jernigan.

She is survived by four sons, Albert Barnes of Tampa Fla., Thomas Barnes of Vernon, Va., Robert Barnes of Ahoskie and David Barnes of Aulander.

Massey Funeral Home in Aulander is handling the arrangements, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m, today, May 2.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, May 3, at Oak Grove Baptist Church, with the Rev. Bob Skeens officiating. Burial will follow in Aulander Cemetery in Aulander.
