Lena Crawford, 96, of Blytheville, Ark., died Sunday, January 16, 2000 at the Baptist Memorial Nursing Home in Blytheville.

Born in Ethel, Ark., she was the daughter of the late Alex and Maggie West Davis.

She lived most of her life in the Hermondale, Mo., area and was of the Protestant faith. She was an avid gardener and loved to make quilts.

Her husband, E.B. Crawford, to whom she was married for 55 years, her daughter, Lois Crawford Edwards and her son, Cecil Crawford also preceded her in death.

Mrs. Crawford leaves two daughter: Ruth Turner of Steele, Mo., and Shirley Martin of Blytheville; her sister, Gladys Ellenburg, of Forrest City, Ark.; 24 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mrs. Crawford were held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, January 20, 2000 at the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel in Blytheville with Mr. Craig Lindsey officiating.

Burial was at the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Steele with Cobb Funeral Home of Blytheville in charge.
