Jason Riley Jr.

On Jan. 9, 2013, precious angel Jason Deven Riley Jr. better known as "Deven" spread his beautiful wings and returned home. He was born Feb. 3, 2010, in Whiteriver. Deven was the 2011-2012 second attendant White Mountain Apache Baby Boy of the Year.

Deven is remembered and loved by his father Jason Deven Riley Sr.; mother Fernanda Alekay; stepfather Dominic Marrietta; sisters: Kayale Marrietta, Kayarie Marrietta; godparents Marty and Pat Etsitty; grandmothers: Marjorie Chatlin, Glorinda Goclanney, Lucinda Alekay, Philberta Goclanney, Vinla Bonito, Vera Quintero, Venita Malone, Phoebe Keyes, Nannie Walker, Gloria Walker, Louisa Massey, Rose Quintero; grandfathers: Phillip Goclanney, Fernando Alekay Sr., Lorenzo Chatlin, Philbert Goclanney, Raymus Wallen, Tom Keys, Daryl Malone, Norman Keys; Uncles: Brandon Alekay, Kenjerio Kessay, Alonzo Chatlin, Matthew Alekay, Elijah Alekay, Fernando Alekay Jr., Jay Riley Jr., Elijah Moody, Marwin Moody Jr., Jacob Riley; aunts: Natashya Kessay, Geraldine Chatlin, Makayla Chatlin, Tasha Moody, Tanya Moody, Vonia Riley, Lydia Riley and many extended families and friends.

Deven's body will be brought home to his great-grandmother's residence, 352 Butterfly Lane in Turkey Creek, at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 18, for two night wake.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 20, at the Riverside Church in East Fork with Pastor Valentina Begay officiating.

Interment will be at the Whiteriver Cemetery.

Manzanita Mortuary of Whiteriver handled arrangements.
