Isaac Alvin Pounds, 77, died at a Texarkana hospital after a lengthy illness.
Services were held at the Texarkana Funeral Home Chapel with Adrian Maynard officiating. Burial was in Chapelwood Cemetery.
Mr. Pounds was born October 17, 1906 at Kirby, Arkansas. He was a retired employee of Bowie County and a member of the Nash Church of Christ, where he served as a deacon.
Survivors include; his wife, Faye Ilene Copeland Pounds of Texarkana; one son, Don Pounds of Nashville, AR.; one daughter, Doris Brower of Texarkana; four brother, Dewey Pounds of Durant, Ok., Bob Pounds of Arkadelphia, Ar., Earl Pounds of San Angelo, Tx. and Watson Pounds of Plano, Tx.;
four sisters, Birdie Black of Big Springs, Tx., Vida Tackett of Glenwood, Ar.,Ara Snowden of Plano, Tx., and Louise Kerr of Greenville, S.C.; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
