He was born July 8, 1904, in the town of Brothertown, son of the late George and Minnie L. (Doern) Baker.
He farmed in the town of Chilton until 1957, when he moved to Chilton and worked at Chilton Metal Products until retiring in July 1972. He was a member of International Association of Machinists.
Survivors include a sister, Leta Spang, Chilton; a brother, Harvey, New Holstein; and nieces and nephews.
Two sisters preceded him in death.
Funeral services were held at Wieting-Schneider Funeral Home, Chilton. Burial was in the Hillside Cemetery, Chilton.
