Cecil Mark Nelson, 62, passed away on Tuesday Nov. 29, 2011. He was the son of the late, Edward & Lois Higgenbotham Nelson and was also preceded in death by his wife, Laura Whitten Nelson. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and worked in the textile industry.
He is survived by a son, Lee Nelson of Newry; daughter, Crystal Nissen of Seneca; brothers, Wendell & Dale Nelson of Gadsen, AL, Donald & Howard Nelson of Seneca, and three grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held 11:30a.m. Friday, Dec. 2, 2011 at Oconee Memorial Park with the Rev. Terry Carver officiating. The family will receive friends from 10-11:00a.m. at Brown-Oglesby Funeral Home.
