Harry A. Rice, 227 East North Street, died this morning in the Forest Park Nursing Home. He was 70 years old.
He was born on Dec. 2, 1898, the son of the late Edward E. and Rebecca J. Bryner Rice. He was formerly employed as a truck driver and of work at the Carlisle Barracks Fire Department. He was a member of the White Circle.
He is survived by four sisters, Mrs. Helen M. Kaseeta, RD2; Mrs. Mary A. Church, Erie; Mrs. Ethel Lepley, and Mrs. Verna Bearley, both of Lewistown; and a brother, Melvin, Port Royal.
The funeral service will be held Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at the Hoffman Funeral Home, 219 North Hanover Street. The Rev. J. Roy Bower will officiate. Burial will be in Westminster Memorial Gardens. Friends may call Monday evening at the funeral home.
