She ran Joyce's House of Casual Dress Shop with her sister and for years was a beautician. She retired from Anderson Public Library in 1998 after 20 years of service.
She graduated from Anderson High School in 1954.
She was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church and was a member of the Ladies Shrine Club for many years.
She is survived by her Husband whom she married August 19, 1967: Ronald Bookout of Anderson. Son: Christopher Bookout of Anderson. Sister: Freda Morrison of Anderson. Mother-in-law: Olive Abendroth of Alexandria. Special Friend: Nancy Steele. Numerous Nieces & Nephews.
She was preceded by her Parents: Freely & Thelma Anderson. Three Brothers: Howard, Bob and Joe. Two Sisters: Rosemary and Geneva.
Services will be Friday, June 4, 2004 at 1:00 PM, at Robert D. Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, South Chapel; 200 W. 53rd Street; Anderson, with Rev. Ray Bradley officiating.
Cremation will take place.
