Major League Baseball Player. A native of Troy, Ohio, he made his major league debut on April 17, 1954, and played his final game on May 29, 1955. He played for the Cincinnati Reds from 1954 to 1955. In the Minor Leagues played for the Atlanta Crackers in 1956, and helped lead them to two straight Southern Association Championships. After his baseball career he became a police officer. Valentine died in Roswell, Georgia at the age of 76.
