Rev John P Condon OSA


John was born at Stillwater NY in 1886. He entered the novitiate at the Monastery of St. Thomas at Villanova, Pennsylvania in 1905. He was ordained to the priesthood by Archbishop Edmond Francis Prendergast on May 14, 1910, at the Cathedral of Sts. Peter and Paul, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. His first Holy Mass was celebrated in St. Peter's Church, Stillwater, New York.


After ordination, Fr Condon was stationed at St Augustine's College in Havana, Cuba. He died there on December 4, 1915, at 5:30am, from tuberculosis and tubercular meningitis. Father Healy, his confessor, gave him the last Sacrament on November 22 while he was perfectly conscious.


His funeral was December 6th, 1915 with sermons in both Spanish and English.
