Catholic church records from Sw. Marcin(St. Martin) of Szubin, Posen, Prussia(now Poland) list Anna's birth at 7PM on 30 June 1888 in the village of Szubskaweis, just outside Szubin. She was baptized on 1 July 1888. She was the last child born to Vincent & Marianna prior to the family coming to America. Her baptismal sponsors were Joannes(John) Ciezki and Catharina Jedraszkiewicz, both of Szubskaweis.

She emigrated with her mother and siblings arriving on the S.S. Slavonia from the port of Swinemunde, Prussia to the port of New York at Castle Garden, on 1 October 1888.

She married Anton Stelter at St. Adalbert Catholic Church on 18 June 1913.
