Opal Mildred Cole, 94, of Pana, died Tuesday, January 15, 2013 in Heritage Health—Pana. She was born February 23, 1918, the daughter of Arthur & Altha Schuyler Lenz. She lived in Arizona most of her adult life, returning to Pana in 1986. Opal was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening, flowers, fishing, and being outside. She also walked to McDonald's everyday.
Opal married Oscar C. Frede and they were later divorce.
She is survived by her daughters: Donna Aschenbrenner, Pana, IL and Janeane Barror, Assumption, IL; 5 grandchildren: Debra Siebert, Daryl Honeycutt, Dawn Elder, Heather Irvine, Holli Roedel; 10 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents & 3 brothers: Dean Lenz, Earl Lenz, Wayne Lenz.
Funeral Information
No visitation.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, January 19, 2013 in Grace Cemetery, Strasburg at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. James Elder officiating.
