TOUPS Lester J. Toups, Veteran of World War II, peacefully joined our Heavenly Father on January 12, 2013 surrounded by his loving family.
He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Marie Dorsa Toups. Lester was the beloved father of two daughters, Mary Elizabeth "Liz" Sanderson (Paul, Jr.) and Gayle Licciardi (Anthony). Devoted grandfather of Kelly, Dale and Mark Sanderson; Jason, Kristen, and Loren Licciardi and the Paw Paw of Alexis, Madilyn, Dominic, Abigail, Hayden and Mason Sanderson; Collin Doming and Keira Arwood. He was the brother of Irby, Ulysse, Hubert Toups, Gladys Savoie and the late Carmen Cheramie.
Lester was a member of Our Lady of Prompt Succor Church, Westwego, and a retired employee of Celotex after 43 years.
He enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family.
Lester was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather and will be deeply missed by his family and all who knew him. He will always be in our thoughts and forever in our hearts.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Services at WESTSIDE LEITZ EAGAN FUNERAL HOME, 5101 WESTBANK EXPRESSWAY, MARRERO. Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 19, 2013 from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in the Chapel.
Interment will take place in Our Lady of Prompt Succor Mausoleum in Westwego.
