Obituary from the Edwardsville Intelligencer (Edwardsville, Madison County, Illinois), Thursday, February 12, 1959:
   Mrs. Pearlie Bessie Buetikofer, 49, died suddenly Wednesday at 9:35 p.m. at her home, 516 East Schwarz street.
   A daughter of the late Charlie and Rillie Netherly Harris, the deceased was born Oct. 7, 1909 in Fayette county. On Dec. 31, 1924 she was married to Lester Evans who died Jan. 3, 1954 and on July 14, 1956 she married Oscar M. Buetikofer, who survives.
   Also surviving are two sons, Elston E. Evans, Edwardsville, and S-Sgt. Lyle Evans of Warner-Robins Air Force Base, Ga.; one daughter, Mrs. Elmer (Gwendolyn) Eberhart, Moro; three brothers, Burthol of Bingham, Ill., Glen of Alton and Clifford of Vandalia; three sisters, Mrs. Everett (Elizabeth) Casey, Ramsey, Ill., Mrs. Clarence (Pauline) Vericker, Nokomis, and Mrs. Harley (Grace) Sexton, Springfield; and eight grandchildren.
   Funeral arrangements are incomplete. The Straube funeral home is in charge.
